I just saw that Charlynn passed. Made me sad. Ask your husband if he remembers Earl Riddle, that was my dad.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10659310660807259450noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5052322390844638722.post-32944505219152865402013-11-05T12:05:32.726-07:002013-11-05T12:05:32.726-07:00Compare the old photos of the mining town with the...Compare the old photos of the mining town with the ones of Jerome, AZ. We had many picnics there and loved swimming in the cool water of the pool.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14509466063663554693noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5052322390844638722.post-59233614281646689062012-11-06T07:14:26.686-07:002012-11-06T07:14:26.686-07:00So glad I ran across your article! My mother in law, Charlynn Robinson has built a house, right next door, at the old Crozier Station and she asked me to research if there were any articles on the internet about the place. Thank you so much for writing this piece.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5052322390844638722.post-26781302909221726912012-03-13T18:52:12.145-07:002012-03-13T18:52:12.145-07:00Some great old photos, Meg, but a few are hard to ...Some great old photos, Meg, but a few are hard to place. You are on the right track with Metcalf & Shannon Incline. A couple other photos of the Clifton-Morenci area, including the tank engine locomotive. Scan0011.jpg looks like the Coronado Trail. Compare to photo with my posting on highways at Arizona100.WordPress.com<br />To me, Scan0031.jpg doesn't fit the Clifton-Morenci area. Five photos of Grand Canyon. Scan0049.jpg is Mary Colton's Hopi House at Grand Canyon. Scan0044.jpg is Roosevelt Dam. That lake is probably Roosevelt Lake. I have many photos of this area, but am having difficulty identifying where they might be. At the moment, my best guesses are Fort Mojave, Truxton Canyon, or Fort Yuma. I would appreciate it very much if you could take a look at the photos and give me your feedback about a likely location.
